Now, SDN technologies have been applied in operator network, such as IDC, transportation network(OTN), IP RAN. IN carrier level network, the end to end service will be provided to our custom based on multi-vendor and multi-layer environment. Yang model, as information model, can help to operator to facilitate and speed up SDN practice and reduce APP develop threshold. China Unicom’s view and  practice, such as how to realize Hierarchical SDN controlling based on Yang model,   will be shared in this presentation.     

This presentation will give China Unicom’s   view about the role of  Yang model in carrier network, such as multi-vendor and multi-layer environment. And encourage developer and partners to explore new opportunity to help rapid APP development based on yang  model to facilitate operator to speed up new service opening and realize DevOps. In addition, it will also help to explore the requirement about Yang model standardization in ONF or IETF.
